The teeth, tusk and claws of the animals provide defense in the event of an attack. The teeth of a hippopotamus are large enough to slice through a crocodile. The tusks of a walrus which can be over 2 feed, help in their self defense. The claws of the cat are very sharp and prove to be effective weapons for attack and defense.
A snake belongs to the same family as the tortoise but it looks completely unlike one. It dose not have the tortoise's shell or its stocky limbs. In fact, a snake has no limbs at all. It look like a tail with mouth. You probably think that all snake are the same. How ever, you will be surprised to know that there are over 2,500 different types of snake in the world. While some of these are poisonous, other kill their prey by wrapping themselves tightly around it. Most snakes live on land, but some live in river, lakes or even seas.
